Clinical Pilates

Clinical Pilates is a form of exercise and rehabilitation that combines Pilate’s principles, which teach you to improve your core stability by isolating specific muscle groups.

Designed by a physiotherapist and osteopath, it is an adaptation of Joseph Pilate’s original approach, modified and changed to make it appropriate for use in a clinical/rehabilitation setting. Specific programs are developed to suit the individual’s injury or pathology and their particular sport or activity level.

We will teach you how having great core stability muscles will create a brace-like hold around your lower back to protect you from injury.

Clinical Pilates is a fantastic form of exercise that helps to treat the following conditions:

  • Poor flexibility
  • PRE – POST natal discomfort
  • Arthritis
  • Muscle weaknesses
  • Poor fitness levels

Initially, the main focus is improving your core stability, but you will still be working your entire body, strengthening and improving your posture, breathing and internal mental stress. Clinical Pilates and Reformer sessions involve special spring-loaded Pilates equipment such as reformer beds. We also have Mat classes. Some of our exercises are performed on the floor using mats so that you can learn these exercises to also do at home. Defining your body and goals reaching your potential

Power Pilates is a fast-paced, high-intensity body toning workout. Clinical Pilates, Mat classes – Reformer Pilates. All types are core strengthening with circuit, cardio and endurance training. All Pilate’s classes, Beginners to Advanced, are available.
